How to reach us / getting on board

  2. At what time can I get on board?

    In Biel, Solothurn and Murten, you can get on board 15 minutes prior to departure.

  3. Where do I find parking spaces?

    Check out our maps "how to reach us" here.

    In Biel, you will find a parking lot just across the wharf by the "Strandbad Biel" (beach) for CHF 10.00 a day. Payable with change, no bank notes.

Tickets

  1. Are SBB day tickets and township tickets valid?

    Township tickets (Flexi-Card) and SBB day tickets with the Half Fare travelcard are valid on all Aare, Lake of Biel and Three Lakes cruises.

  2. Where can I buy my ticket?

    Tickets can be bought on board or at the sales counter and information center located at the wharf in Biel; also for groups. You may buy also tickets at any railway station with a ticket counter. Check out the RailAway specials for the Aare and Three-Lakes cruises.

  3. Can I take my bicycle on board? How much does it cost?

    Bicycles are welcome on board as long as space is available. Price per bicycle from departure to arrival dock CHF 5.00, day pass CHF 8.00.

    SBB bicycle tickets and GA travelcard are not valid.

  4. How much does my dog pay?

    Half-Fare travelcard for short distances, day pass for dog CHF 14.-.

  6. Are the SBB GA travelcard and Half Fare travelcard valid?

    Both travelcards are valid on regular cruises.

  7. How much do children pay? Are the Junior travelcard and Grandchild travelcard valid?

    Children between 6 - 16 years old pay half fare. The Junior and Grandchild travelcard are valid and can be bought on the boat. More info ... 

    On board, you may also buy one of our children travelcard for the day for the price of CHF 15.00.

  8. Which means of payment are accepted?

    On board, you may pay with:
    - cash
    - credit card (Visa, Mastercard) .
    - REKA

    EC card and Postcard are only accepted at the sales counter at the wharf.
    WIR are not accepted.

    Buy your Event-ticket online (payment with credit card) and print it at home.

  9. Is the official ID for disabled person valid on cruises?

    Yes, the bearer of the ID has the right to take one accompanying person or a dog along for free.

Bookings

  1. Do I have to book my seat?

    Bookings are requested for groups of 10 PAX onwards or persons in a wheelchair. Breakfast must be booked one day in advance (bookings for Sunday and Monday until Saturday 4 PM).

  2. Until when do I need to make my booking?

    Bookings can be made latest one day in advance until 5 PM (except for Sundays and Mondays, bookings need to be made until Saturday 4 PM). For groups of 10 PAX onwards, it is highly recommended to make a booking in good time.

  3. Until when can I change the number of participants?

    You may change the number of participants until 2 days prior departure. Later changes will not be considered and will be billed.

  4. Can I cancel my cruise booking or adjourn it?

    Event-tickets that have been bought cannot be reimbursed. To be safe in case of cancellation, buy with your ticket the Mondial Assistance insurance for CHF 3.00 per ticket. Please check the insurance GC before.

    Regular cruises with food and beverage bookings may be cancelled up to 3 days prior departure.

    Cruises without booking in advance of food and beverage may be cancelled up to one day prior departure.

    Our timetables are divided in four seasons.
    Spring: 06.04 – 25.05.2012
    Summer: 26.05. – 30.09.2012
    Fall: 01.10. – 28.10.2012
    Winter: 06.11.2011 – 01.04.2012

  2. When do evening cruises take place?

    Numerous evening cruises are taking place during the whole year. Look at the programm here (information in German and French).

Food and beverages

  1. Can I eat on the boat?

    Each boat has a menu. Have a look at the A la carte menu here. (information in German and French)

  2. Do I need to order meals in advance?

    Single passangers can order on board directly from the menu. (it is nevertheless highly reccommended to reserve your seat and table).
    Groups from 10 PAX onwards have to book the meals in advance.

  3. Where do I find menu, aperitive and dessert suggestions?

    You will find with this link menu suggestions for groups of 10 PAX onwards. 

  4. Is it allowed to have a picnic?

    It is allowed to have a picnic outside. Picnics are forbidden inside the boat.

  5. Are there specials menus for children?

    Yes. Each boat has a special children menu. Click here to see it.

Fleet

  1. Are the boats accessible to wheelchairs?

    Every boat is accessible to wheelchairs, but not at the same level. We kindly help you to prepare your trip and book a seat for you. Just call us!

  2. Is is possible to rent a boat?

    Yes. You can rent every boat for your personal event. Plan your event with our online tool (German or French). Please contact us for any futher details.

  3. Can I smoke on the boat?

    Smokers are allowed to smoke on the open deck. Smoking is forbidden inside.
