SBB Grandchild travelcard

6 to 16 years old travel free with grandma and/or grandad.

One year free travel by train for 6 to 16 years old* (accompanied by a grandparent with a valid ticket**).

For only CHF 30.-! Grandchild travels free on whole year by train accompanied by a grandparent.
With the Grandchild travelcard you can travel with your grandchildren one year long by train and boat throughout Switzerland. The Grandchild travelcard is valid for 1st and 2nd class journeys. One condition: your grandchild must be between 6 and 16 years old* and must be accompanied by one grandparent with a valid ticket**.

Free travel with the Grandchild travel card
The Grandchild travelcard are valid anywhere within the Half-Fare travelcard area. You find a detailed map at every railway station. Inform yourself at local transport services as children may also use the card to travel free or at a reduced price on many tram and bus routes.

Helpful advice
Buy the Junior travelcard for your child at the railway station. As a grandparent, the only thing you need in addition is a valid ticket** for yourself. Start travelling now!

Important: no reimbursement of full price and supplement paid on the train if Grandchild travelcard has been forgotten.
