Just idyllic and situated along the Aare river banks. Altreu is reputated for its stork colony installed by the Vogelwarte Sempach. At the Witi information center you may get some detailed information about the storks and the Aare. The restaurant "Gruene Aff", in english the green ape, is located just at the dock.
